TAM Online on September 16th

“The Audio Marketplace (TAM), the first European B2B platform dedicated to multilingual professional audio content, will officially go live on September 16 as part of the European Audio Dataspace project, coordinated by Agence France-Presse (AFP).”

Developed with the support of the European Commission to connect content creators (podcasters, journalists, sound designers) and buyers (media, producers, institutions, businesses), TAM provides a structured licensing and distribution hub that promotes the cross-border circulation of high-quality audio content.

“The launch of the TAM site marks a key step toward building a true European professional audio ecosystem that protects the rights of both sellers and buyers while respecting copyright. By offering a secure and structured space for content creators and buyers, we aim to lay the foundations for a Europe-wide audio market—rather than fragmented national ones—enabling audio professionals to buy, sell, and exchange content in the same way television networks already do through Eurovision (EBU) or private broadcaster exchanges (ENEX),” said Christine Buhagiar, AFP’s Director of Development and Diversification.

The platform features a wide range of professional audio formats such as podcasts (narrative, current affairs, thematic), news audio, reports, and interviews.

Key Features

  • Centralized European catalog in five languages: search and discover multilingual audio content indexed by theme, language, duration, and license type (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian).
  • Licenses and contracts: customizable terms of use (rights, territories, duration) and standard licenses available.
  • AI-powered recommendation tool: helps independent producers, publishers, and podcasters identify relevant podcasts—emerging, established, or leading—across all supported languages.
  • Secure payment and invoicing: integrated with Stripe.
  • Creators’ space: publish, manage, and track the performance of uploaded content.
  • Buyers’ space: acquire and store purchased audio in a personalized library.
